This book contains 24 articles on z/Architecture, z/OS, and its many “friends,” including the Base Control Program, networking and management utilities, and major software products like the Customer Information Control System and Information Management System. Hundreds of built-in elements, optional features, and program products are explored and discussed.

This book is for technologists who are new to mainframe computing or for those who want to “catch up” after stepping away from large, centralized systems for a time. These articles originally appeared on the TechChannel website.
